Ordered files are shuffled by import

Files that are well ordered by, e.g. file name, are disordered upon import. One solution would be preserving additional file information (filename, timestamps, etc) and enabling ordering on that information. Another solution would be to queue the import process. This would be a little slower than a fully async process but result in a better outcome.
